Well, I can´t believe we have less than a week left. The past week has been full of late nights and lots of final projects. Yesterday was my last day in Tepecoyo. It was bittersweet saying goodbye to that place, my home away from home. Typical of Tepecoyo we spent most of the day sitting in plastic chairs, sweating. You know what, unfortunatly I think it was a little more bitter than sweet. I´m having a hard time processing everything I feeling right now because I´m trying to finish classes and say goodbyes.
Oh, last weekend I went to Guatemala for the weekend. Ally and I went to Guatemala and met up with some old CISV friends and then went to Antigua for about a day. What a great place.
I´ve really got nothing else to say. I´ll be home next week. wow.

Prayer of Oscar Romero
It helps, now and then, to step back and take a long view.
The kingdom is not only beyond our efforts, it is even beyond our vision.
We accomplish in our lifetime only a tiny fraction of the magnificent enterprise that is God's work. Nothing we do is complete, which is a way of saying that the kingdom always lies beyond us. No statement says all that could be said. No prayer fully expresses our faith. No confession brings perfection. No pastoral visit brings wholeness. No program accomplishes the church's mission. No set of goals and objectives includes everything.
This is what we are about. We plant the seeds that one day will grow. We water seeds already planted, knowing that they hold future promise.
We lay foundations that will need further development. We provide yeast that produces far beyond our capabilities.
We cannot do everything, and there is a sense of liberation in realizing that. This enables us to do something, and to do it very well. It may be incomplete, but it is a beginning, a step along the way, an opportunity for the Lord's grace to enter and do the rest.
We may never see the end results, but that is the difference between the master builder and the worker.
We are workers, not master builders; ministers, not messiahs. We are prophets of a future not our own. Amen.

Sounds as if you are mentally already half gone from there. What huge transitions for you. And Peru is right around the corner.
Wanted to let you know the initial meeting about the Peru trip went well and your name was bandied about, as in "we'll have Patrick along as our translator!" The meeting this coming Wed is very brief and not a concern for you.
You might be interested in the fact that Rica Playa is near the ocean and Ecuador. So their winter is typically highs in the 90's to 100 with lows in the 80's. So you don't have to worry about missing your summer. :)
